COMING NOVEMBER 2006!
"Bernie Bocks Makes the Team"
Cool Beans! Finally, a children's story everyone can relate
to. Bernie Bocks (draw)-bridges the gap between picture book and adolescent novel with his dribble-proof adventures.
Not only will small children marvel at the color pictures and alliteration, but self-readers will be challenged by the story
and its play on words. As an added bonus, parents will be able to relate to the references in the book which span the last
fifty years in sports, music, and motion pictures. "Bernie Bocks Makes the Team" will tickle each reader like ants with people
in their pants.
Bernie Bocks and his troupe of inanimate buddies plot a course for packing*peanut fun. After
being cruelly axed from the basketball team by Coach Gleening Cutter (who is so strict he doesn't even let his bread loaf),
Bernie and his pals, Errol E. Racer and Sally Sliderool, make a trek to the famous HALL (in the "new castle") to learn the
game. As Sally supplies the logic and Errol rubs out mistakes, the trio meets the likes of Bobbin Plum, Larry Dodo Byrd, and
a cast of other Hoosier greats, who dribble, pass and shoot them on the right track to basketball success.
The sporting cast includes: Stew Glue, whose goo is on you, too; Sammy Scissor, who slices
and snips with his cutting remarks; Stretch Ladda, spends tryouts munching on snicker doodles; and the speedy Cyril Cyrkle,
who doesn't get anywhere because he travels in a 360-degree arc.
There's a laugh in every sentence, and a double entendre in every paragraph of, "Bernie Bocks
Makes the Team". Even adults will have to read it again and again to catch all the jokes. What the heckle and jeckle you waiting
for? Give it a read today!
